Peter Parker’s clone, Ben Reilly, makes his villainous return in Marvel’s new releases, arriving ahead of the upcoming Dark Web crossover event.
Peter Parker’s evil clone, Ben Reilly, returns in the new releases for Marvel Comics.
Following the “Beyond” storyline, Ben Reilly is no longer Spider-Man, nor is he the hero Scarlet Spider. Now seeking revenge against Peter, Ben has taken on a villainous new identity, Chasm, and rejoins The Amazing Spider-Man series in the upcoming Issue #14, comprising an anthology of stories written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by various artists. The issue arrives ahead of Marvel’s Dark Web crossover event involving Spider-Man, Venom and the X-Men, pitting the heroes against the combined might of Chasm and Madelyne Pryor, aka the Goblin Queen.
This week is also one for Star Wars fans, being that both a new series for Yoda and a special one-shot are coming out on Wednesday. Star Wars: Yoda is a title written by Cavan Scott and drawn by Nico Leon, exploring the Jedi Master’s adventures throughout the galaxy. Meanwhile, Star Wars: Revelations #1 is a special issue by writer Marc Guggenheim and several artists, set to introduce readers to the next chapter of Marvel’s Star Wars stories.
As for Marvel’s other new comics, Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes assumes his “All-Rider” form in Avengers Forever #11, while Matt Murdock dons his “King Daredevil” attire in Daredevil #5. The Defenders: Beyond miniseries is coming to an end, while a new miniseries launches, Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise.
