After a brief diversion to the animated world with I Am Groot , Marvel Studios returns to live-action storytelling in August with Tatiana Maslany’s She–Hulk: Attorney At Law . SheHulk is the latest Hulk-centric MCU project. It will bring a new dynamic to the franchise and rely heavily on CGI.
While rumors had circulated about Marvel’s plans to bring She-Hulk to small screens, Maslany confirmed that Maslany would create her heroine entirely using CGI. The first look at Marvel’s work on the lawyer-turned-jolly-green-giant came with its fair share of complaints, but the show looks to correct that negativity upon its debut on August 17.
Fans were able to see behind-the-scenes photos of Maslany as Jennifer Walters, though most of her work is done in a CGI Mo-Cap costume for her Hulk-y side. A new collection of photos has been shared that gives a glimpse into Maslany’s unique vision, just a few weeks before Jennifer Walters takes center stage.
She-Hulk star in Mo-Cap Outfit
She Hulk: Ginger Gonzaga, Attorney at Law shared a behind-the scenes selfie with Tatiana Maslany, the show’s star.
Gonzaga is seated in a golf car with Maslany. Gonzaga noticed that Maslany was wearing her “mocap jammies. “ She also joked around about her own role leaking, teasing that she’d actually been announced to play “baby groot’s sister:”
“Real buddies pick you up on a golf cart in their mo-cap jammies Not my closet! Do not misunderstand this She-Hulk fan! Already, I have stated that I am baby groots’ sister. )”

Looking closer, Maslany looks great in her Mo-Cap suit with many tiny black dots across her face. Maslany is now seen in her Mo Cap suit for the second time, but this photo gives us the most detailed look yet.

Marvel Keeps Using Mo-Cap Action On Disney +
The MCU’s take on the Hulk has always been fairly reliant on CGI work, even though the process of bringing that work to the screen has improved mightily over the last 14 years. Now, Mark Ruffalo is far from the only one utilizing this technology, not being joined by Maslany as She-Hulk‘s leading hero and Tim Roth in his long-awaited comeback as the Abomination.
While the CGI to She–Hulk is a problem with many fans, these images further prove that Maslany will be delivering all her action in her MCU debut. The show’s star is sure to shine brighter in Marvel’s spotlight, with recent trailers and images from the promotional run showing a marked improvement in Maslany’s appearance.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will begin streaming on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 17.
