There is always speculation as to who the next MCU star could be. Ryan Gosling was mentioned on several occasions recently. It was suggested recently that Nova could appear in the live-action Marvel movie. However, Gosling has since closed those rumors and spoken to Josh Horowitz, who posted a few details about their conversation on Twitter. He wrote:
“Ryan & I talked about yesterday’s Nova rumors, which he claimed are false. Ryan reached out this morning to tell me that GHOSTRIDER is the superhero he would like to portray. “
Currently there are no details about the Nova Project. However, it was suggested that the project will be a Disney+ limited series, similar to Moon Knight. This is one of Kevin Feige’s projects.
Ryan Gosling Would Have Tough Competition to Become Ghost Rider
Although there is no mention that Ghost Rider HTML3_ will be joining the MCU, there have been many actors who either expressed interest or were suggested by fans to take on the role.
Up to now, the names included The Walking Dead HTML3_s Norman Reddus and fan favorite Keanu Reeves. Even Gabriel Luna (who hasn’t given up on the role of Ghost Rider) doesn’t seem to be ready to reprise the role. Marvel is beginning to show its dark side, with Moon Knight as well as the additions of Blade and Werewolf by Night . It’s not too far away before a beloved character such Ghost Rider will make an appearance.
In the The Story of Marvel Studios , Kevin Feige talks about how he wanted characters such as Daredevil and The Punisher to appear in the movie. However, due to the maturity of the characters, he was unable to do so. It seems possible that Ghost Rider will follow Daredevil’s lead and be brought back to the Marvel fold. Ryan Gosling is one of many who hopes that this will become a reality.
