Ms. Marvel is the show that introduced Kamala Khan to the MCU, and it also set up the sequel to Captain Marvel, which is coming soon to theaters. But after Kamala joins Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau in the movie, she could also have more solo adventures in a second season of the show. However, that will depend on The Marvels.
The directors of Ms. Marvel, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, shared their hopes for a second season in an interview with The Playlist on The Discourse podcast. They said:
“[We are] waiting for The Marvels, so that will decide what the next step will be. So we’re very much looking forward to that. I can’t wait to see it, man. It’s great to see the trailers and to see the whole family back there and Iman Vellani doing great work, so looking forward to that.”
In The Marvels, Kamala will team up with Carol and Monica after their powers start to interfere with each other, creating chaos after Carol is sent through a black hole. They have to figure out what is going on with them, and also stop a new and powerful villain.
The Marvels, directed by Nia DaCosta, also stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Samuel L. Jackson, and it will be released on November 10.
She-Hulk Could Also Get a Second Season
Most of the Marvel shows for Disney+ have been successful, but some of them have been limited to one season, like Loki and What If…?. Ms. Marvel could be one of the exceptions, but it’s not the only one.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is another show that could get a second season, even though it didn’t have a very good debut. The show stars Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who gets Hulk-like powers after a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. The show is a mix of comedy and action, and it also features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination.
There are rumors that Marvel Studios had plans for a second season of She-Hulk before the strikes in Hollywood started. The strikes have affected many Hollywood projects, including Thunderbolts, which was delayed until 2024.
For Now, There Is No Official Confirmation About the Second Seasons of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk
For now, there is no official confirmation about the second seasons of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. The only confirmed shows for 2023 on Disney+ are Loki Season 2 on October 6, and What If…? Season 2 on Christmas.
Fans of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk can watch their shows on Disney+, and also read more about them in Marvel’s new book Look Out For The Little Guy!, which is written by Scott Lang himself. The book has more stories and insights about the MCU heroes.
