Now that six episodes of Ms. Marvel are out, viewers can enjoy the story of Kamala Khan’s origin and journey to discover her abilities. In addition to its success, the Disney+ series also sets up the MCU movie ,The Marvels, which will feature Kamala Khan and Brie Larson as Carol Danvers.
There’s much that goes into creating a TV show such as Ms. Marvel . Many hours go into creating and refining the look and feel of a television show like Ms. Marvel. Concept artists sometimes create stunning works to illustrate the studio’s goals. As of lately, pieces of concept art have begun to appear online. Some show concepts that were not included in the finished series.
This is the danger of being a Marvel concept artist. It might not take everything you create. It could need to be extensively revised if it doesn’t. This is what happened to some recently-revealed images by Emmanuel Shiu. Shiu worked on Ms. Marvel well before the cameras started rolling.
Ms. MarvelArt Shows a Mysterious Universe
Emmanuel Shiu is a concept artist for Ms. Marvel and has shared pieces he made to help the production. He points out that the artwork below, which depicts an otherworldly world, didn’t make the cut and wasn’t included in the production. This seems to have caused Shiu disappointment.

In the drawing below, Kamala shows her ability to make a series platforms that lead to what appears to be a temple.
Then there is an interior to a castle that has a purple crystal at its center. This could be the Noor dimension the Clandestines wanted to return to.
More Clandestine Explorer Meant for Mrs. Marvel?
Emmanuel Shiu ought to feel justified in his dismay at Marvel’s decision not to use this artwork for the series. It is striking. It is hard to imagine where this bizarre world was placed in the story.
In Episodes 4 and 5 of Ms. Marvel, Kamala’s bangle transports her back in time to 1947 in order to rescue her grandmother. Perhaps Kamala’s original plan was to whisk her away to wherever Shiu depicts in Shiu’s artwork. This is an interesting possibility. However, if it was, budgetary constraints may have prevented the project from being fully realized. These environments could have all been created with CGI, which is expensive.
As we speculated, this artwork could be showing the Noor Dimension. The show’s fans will remember Kamala encountering resistance from the Clandestine. This mysterious group is from another dimension. They want to return to Noor, the place they used to call home. Although the world is not visible to the public, it could look very similar to what Emmanuel Shiu has depicted in his art.
The entire Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel HTML3_ season can now only be streamed on Disney+.
