A cosplay that imitated Spider-Man’s look in-game was a big hit on the official Marvel’s Midnight Suns twitter account.
The official Twitter account for Marvel’s Midnight Suns recently sent some love towards an impressive game-accurate Spider-Man cosplay.
On July 22, the Marvel’s Midnight Suns Twitter account posted a tweet, proudly announcing “Spider-Man has swung onto the scene!” accompanied by a handful of pictures of a Spider-Man cosplay by Twitter user Striker (@StrikerCosplay), which the Midnight Suns account was eager to describe as “Amazing! Spectacular! Sensational! “
Striker’s cosplay does an impressive job of recreating Spidey’s Midnight Suns look. The wallcrawler has swapped his red, blue and sometimes black threads in favor of a black suit with gold highlights. Striker recreates this look in a striking and fitting fashion. The accompanying photos show Striker showing some Spider-Man poses at some Spider-Man locations. Striker, though German-born, appears to have discovered some New York spots that would be appropriate for his amazing cosplay.
Midnight Suns‘ take on Spider-Man was recently the subject of a teaser for the game. In that spotlight, fans got to hear some voicework from Marvel’s Spider-Man veteran Yuri Lowenthal, who is returning to the role for Midnight Suns. The fans also saw Spider-Man in his black-and-gold suit, with a glowing red spider on the chest.
Spidey isn’t the only Midnight Suns character to receive a black-and-gold makeover. Each hero has a different color-coordinated outfit for the game. It’s an easy transition for some heroes, such as Iron Man. However, it is hard to believe that Captain America would have been happy to give up his stars and stripes in exchange for stars and demon runes. Thankfully, the upcoming tactical RPG from developer Firaxis and publisher 2K Games will also feature skins which will allow players to bring their heroes a little closer to some of their more iconic comic book incarnations, in the same vein as the onslaught of skins regularly being released for Marvel’s Avengers.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is headed to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on October 7, 2022. We will have more information on the game in the coming weeks. You can find more Striker cosplays (including other Marvel characters such as Doctor Strange) on his Twitter account @StrikerCosplay.
