Tiger Division, Marvel’s South Korean superhero team who debuted in 2021, scores their first-ever solo series from Emily Kim and Creees Lee.

Marvel's South Korean Superhero Team Lands Their First Solo Series

White Fox, Luna Snow and more fan-favorite characters will star in Marvel’s Tiger Division, a new limited series featuring the South Korean team of superheroes.

Announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 22, Marvel’s Tiger Division five-issue series comes from writer Emily Kim and artist Creees Lee. This series is the first ever solo series on the Tiger Division. It promises to explore the diverse cast of characters that make up this team. It reads “Fierce Fighters!” South Korea’s defenders take the center stage. You’ll find out more about TAEGUKGI (a powerful woman with a heart full of gold); LADY BRIGHT (a card-wielding witch); MR. ENIGMA (a street-brawling demigod); THE GENERAL (a living totem); and GUN–R II (an android with attitude). To make an unstoppable team, they are joined by fan favorites WHITE FOX (MARVEL VOICES) and LUNA NOW (MARVEL VOICES). This series is created by our unstoppable team of writer EMILY KIM, (SILK), and artist CREEES LEE(MARVEL VOICES), it’s an epic series that you don’t want to miss. “

Tiger Division and White Fox’s History

Created by Jed MacKay, Alessandro Vitti and Joey Vazquez, Tiger Division first appeared in the pages of 2021’s Taskmaster #3. Led by White Fox/Ami Han, Tiger Division is a government-sanctioned superhero team operating out of South Korea. Along with Taskmaster #3, the group has also appeared in 2021’s Black Cat Annual, 2021’s Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox #1 and White Fox Infinity Comics #2.

White Fox was created by Al Ewing and Paco Medina and first appeared in 2015’s Contest of Champions #1. According to legend, White Fox is the only known shape-shifting, nine-tailed fox with superpowers. White Fox was the subject of her first solo series, Marvel Unlimited, written by Alyssa Woong and illustrated by Bruno Oliveira. Colorist Andres Mossa also contributed to this issue. Description: “Ami Han, last Kumiho shape-shifting Kumiho, is White Fox!” Ami began her fight against injustice after her mother was killed. Another murderer is now on the loose in Seoul’s underground supernatural community. The hunt for White Fox will reveal what secrets about White Fox’s past. “


Tiger Division #1 features cover art by Lee and variant cover art by Ron Lim, Artgerm, Junggeun Yoon and Peach Momoko. Marvel will sell the issue in November.
