Marvel’s Midnight Suns‘ new combat trailer gives interested fans a last look at the game’s unique battle system ahead of its launch early next month.
The trailer showcases Midnight Suns‘ turn-based action with various cards for each hero. Gameplay resembles a more intense version of Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon, with specific attacks for each character on a player’s team determining what action they can take each turn. After playing a card, the gameplay still resembles other AAA action games with intense animation depicting the hero’s attack. Players must also build up heroism to unleash more powerful attacks and gain special moves through camaraderie in the RPG aspect of the game, building up friendships with the other heroes on the team.
