Marvel’s Massive Spider-Man, Venom and X-Men Crossover Lead This Week’s Releases

Marvel launches its Dark Web crossover event pitting Peter Parker and the X-Men against their evil clones, Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor.

Spider-Man and the X-Men must face their own attack of the clones in the new releases from Marvel Comics.

Written by Zeb Wells and illustrated by Adam Kubert, Marvel’s Dark Web crossover officially begins on Wednesday. Seeking revenge on Peter Parker and the X-Men respectively, Ben Reilly/Chasm and Madelyne Pryor/Goblin Queen team up to launch an attack on New York using the demonic forces of Limbo. Dark Web is set to impact several Marvel titles, tying into The Amazing Spider-Man, Venom and Gold Goblin while featuring short tie-in titles focusing on characters like Ms. Marvel, Mary Jane and Black Cat.

Shifting away from Peter Parker and onto another fan-favorite web-slinger, releasing alongside Dark Web #1 is the first issue of Marvel’s new Miles Morales: Spider-Man series. The previous Miles Morales: Spider-Man title wrapped with Issue #42 back in Sep. 2022, but now writer Cody Ziglar and artist Federico Vicentini are set to put the young Spider hero through his greatest trial yet. Marvel has released a trailer and interior artwork for the series, showing Miles fighting the Scorpion and newcomer villain Rabble while also featuring familiar faces, like Misty Knight and Tiana Toomes.

There are 25 new Marvel issues releasing in stores and digitally this week, with other titles’ that debut their first issues being Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and X-Treme X-Men. The one-shot Thanos: Death Notes exploring the history of the Mad Titan is out as well, as are the final issues for Damage Control and The Variants.
