Bo Jackson is joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on a limited-edition variant cover for Avengers #58.
Hustl. announced Jackson, a professional athlete who was named an All-Star in both baseball and football, will fight alongside the Avengers in an exclusive Avengers #58 variant cover. The variant is available to purchase at TheHaul.com as a limited edition of 3,000. The variant features art by Todd Nauck.

Jackson was named an All-Star as a Major League Baseball outfielder and National Football League running back. He also won the Heisman Trophy in 1985 when playing for the Auburn Tigers. Jackson stated, “Representing Avengers on the Marvel Comic Cover is Amazing.” It is an honour to take on some of the greatest Marvel Super Heroes’ traits. The Avengers believe that you can do whatever it takes. ‘”

Avengers #58 released on July 20 from Marvel Comics. This issue is written by Jason Aaron and features Javier Garron as an artist, David Curiel as a colorist, and Cory Petit, VC’s letterer. It reads: “THE AVERAGERS’ QUEST THROUGH TIMES CONTINUES!” Japan, The Edo Period. He is said to walk by night with a sword made of hellfire. The penance flows like blood fountains from wherever he goes. The fabled Ghost Ronin is his Samurai of Vengeance. He will be joined by the Avengers to make his last stand against lightning swords from the devil. “
The current Avengers storyline sees Earth’s Mightiest Heroes traveling through time while trying to defeat Mephisto. Some Avengers travel back to World War II, meeting different versions of themselves. Others find themselves in Japan’s Edo Period. The Avengers are also starring in Marvel’s Judgment Day crossover, which pits the Eternals, Avengers and X-Men against one another on the battlefield after. The first issue of A.X.E. : Judgment Day also released July 20, with the second issue following on Aug. 10.
