Marvel has added a long-awaited skin to Iron Man’s iconic suit and Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Marvel’s Avengers.
Marvel’s Avengers unveiled its latest skin today, featuring an oft-requested skin of Iron Man’s iconic look from Avengers Endgame.
The latest skin dropped today, allowing players to outfit Tony Stark with his last armor and the Infinity Gauntlet as seen in the explosive final Avengers film. Iron Man’s ruined, dilapidated suit is shown in the “Marvel Studios Avengers: Endgame Outfit (Snap).” Stark’s right arm is lit by the veins from Infinity Stones. The helmet is also included, as it pays tribute to Stark’s appearance when he confronted Thanos and gave his life to stop him.
This isn’t the first skin based on the films released by Marvel’s Avengers since the game launched in 2020. Developer Cyrstal Dynamics previously added Stark’s Avengers: Infinity War nanotech armor, featuring the suit’s now-iconic sleek, seamless design. It also released the somewhat unique look from Captain America: Civil War, which saw the suit take on a more rugged shape with silver accents among the usual gold and red.
Since its launch, Marvel’s Avengers has released multiple new skins for the characters. This number appears to be increasing since Crystal Dynamics abruptly canceled the game’s roadmap. The developer decided to prioritize smaller updates over larger ones. Many fans were furious at the news, believing it was the end of the game. There had been many promising bigger and better things in the future. The title, however, has continued to thrive thanks to a loyal following.
Despite its apparent limited major additions, Marvel’s Avengers just released one major update and there are rumors of two more. Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, alongside the first example of multiverse, made her appearance in the game. While she shares many of the same powers as the original Odinson, her animations and attacks are unique. The addition of She-Hulk to the story also appeared to be confirmed recently after months of speculation that began late in 2021. Bucky Barnes is also being rumored to join the roaster soon, although details are scarce.
Marvel’s Avengers is available to play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
