Known Marvel’s Avengers leaker Miller Ross finds audio lines that suggest four currently unannounced heroes are poised to join the superhero title.
A known source for Marvel’s Avengers leaks has found evidence that a few more team members may be assembling.
According to leaker Miller Ross on eXputer, audio lines of Zehra Fazal’s Jane Foster can be heard addressing four unannounced heroes in combat. The heroes mentioned seem to be Captain Marvel, Ironheart, She-Hulk and Shuri. Known as a @mmmmmmmmiller on Twitter, they have been a reliable source of information. At the time of writing, the characters haven’t been officially announced by anyone associated with the game’s ongoing development.
She-Hulk’s Avengers appearance has been a particular sore spot for Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the superhero title. In the same breakdown, Ross expressed doubts that the gamma-radiated attorney would actually make it into the game. This was attributed to the character’s move from development in 2021 under outside partners to being shelved for the Crystal Dynamics team to take over when resources allowed. On this, Ross stated, “The intention was to resume work on the character at a time when the team had sized up and could support development at a scale large enough to create wholly original gameplay, after a period of smaller content drops and onboarding improvements to demonstrate the title’s worthiness of further capital injections.”
When Will Marvel’s Avengers Stop Content?
Whether the new heroes ever make it to live gameplay, Ross’ comprehensive leak also indicated that active development of new Marvel’s Avengers content will cease by 2024. Ross stated, “As of now, I am told there are no plans for content in 2024.” Supposedly, Crystal Dynamics leadership has had their goal of delivering fresh content set at three to five years post-launch. Should this leak be correct, it would meet the developer’s goal with just over three years of new content added to the game.
The latest addition to the game is Bucky Barnes a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, who brings a John Wick-esque style of fighting to the superhero title. A unique character with an array of close and long-range moves, the Winter Soldier is capable of deflecting incoming damage and turning it back on his enemies with the intrinsic ability Steel-Forged Tenacity. His intrinsic overcharge, Red Star Rising, clears groups of enemies with an energy blast. Bucky can quickly clean up those enemies afterward as the ability gives him a brief window of enhanced armor and melee damage.
Gamers can assemble in Marvel’s Avengers on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
