San Diego Comic-Con is back in person for the first time since 2019, and Marvel Studios is present in a big way. Although there was some concern about the possibility that they might not be able to attend the event this year, it has proven exciting and we have so many more things to look forward too.
Friday saw a slew o announcements and confirmations about the MCU’s animated slate. There’s been much to discuss, from Marvel Zombies being proclaimed as the MCU’s first mature-rated series to an intriguing look at some guests in Spider-Man Freshman Year ,.
Fans have a bigger surprise in store for them this Saturday. An executive from Marvel Studios gave attendees plenty to look forward to at the main panel.
Kevin Feige will host the Giant Panel at SDCC

As posted on Twitter by Marvel Entertainment, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Streaming and Animation at Marvel Studios, hyped up a “giant” Hall H panel as part of Marvel’s presence at SDCC for Saturday, July 23.
Winderbaum said he knew fans were “excited to see what announcements are around the bend,” noting particularly that Marvel Studios president “Kevin Feige is gonna do the giant Hall H panel [Saturday].” The creative exec closed by assuring viewers that he wouldn’t “give any spoilers” but that there is definitely “some amazing stuff coming:”
” I know that you are excited to hear about the announcements. It was a wonderful animation panel. Kevin Feige will be doing the Hall H panel. Although I won’t give spoilers, stay tuned for some incredible stuff. “
What Big Reveals Will Marvel Have at SDCC?
Many will find it a pleasant surprise to hear that there will be a large presence on the main panel. After some previous rumors that Marvel would save its big reviews for September’s D23 event, fans are eager for more information about what’s in store.
As phase 4 moves forward, highly anticipated films such as No way home Multiverse of Madness Love and Thunder have come and gone. Now, all eyes are on the future. Many of the MCU announcements recently have focused on characters such as Moon Knight and Miss Marvel ,, but there is a strong desire to see big-name actors return to big screens.
The recent revelation of Kamala Khan, the MCU’s first mutant, has sparked many people’s curiosity about the possibility of the X-Men making an appearance. It’s also known that at some time the Fantastic Four will make their debut in this setting. These two teams are likely to be the top-requested reveals at Saturday’s panel.
The elephant in Phase 4 is the lack of Avengers projects. Over halfway through 2022, fans are now over 3 years separated from the release of Avengers: Endgame with no new title in sight. This “giant panel”, could that be the answer? This is a question almost everyone will be asking.
The X-Men and Fantastic Four are long awaited. Saturday’s panel may be the first time that fans will see any of them, if Marvel Studios is generous with their offerings. All that’s left is to wait and watch.
The panel is set to begin at 5pm PST/8pm EST on Saturday, July 23.
