Avengers: Secret Wars is rumored to be the next Avengers movie, and it is expected to be bigger and better than ever. The movie will reportedly feature a huge cast of heroes and villains from different timelines and realities, who will clash in a cosmic war.
To make this movie a success, Marvel needs a visionary director who can handle the scale and complexity of the story. And according to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel has its eyes on Alfonso Cuarón, the acclaimed director of Gravity, Children of Men, and Roma.
Richtman wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“You know who I heard they want to direct Secret Wars? Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men).”
Alfonso Cuarón is known for his stunning cinematography, emotional storytelling, and technical mastery. He has won multiple Oscars, including Best Director for Gravity and Roma. He is also the director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which is widely regarded as the best film in the Harry Potter franchise.
If Cuarón agrees to direct Avengers: Secret Wars, he could bring his artistic vision and expertise to the MCU, and possibly elevate the superhero genre to new heights. However, it is not clear if Cuarón is interested in taking on such a project, or if Marvel has even approached him with an offer.
Avengers: Secret Wars is still in development, and no official release date has been announced. But fans can look forward to other Marvel movies coming soon, such as The Marvels, which will be released on November 10. The Marvels will star Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau/Photon, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.
Fans can also watch Ms. Marvel’s show on Disney+, and read more about her and other MCU heroes in Marvel’s new book Look Out For The Little Guy!, which is written by Scott Lang himself. The book has more stories and insights about the MCU heroes.
