Marvel has just kicked off its new Judgment Day storyline, and executive editor Nick Lowe and editor-in-chief C. B. They discussed the origins of the story and the future.
” Are you willing to be judged? Lowe asked his audience, thanked them for their attendance, and introduced the panel.
Cebulski outlined the Judgment Day #1 that is coming by Kieron Gilen and Valerio Schiti. We wanted to tell a story with the X-Men, Eternals and their variant genetics, so we added the Avengers. “
Lowe introduced a new set of characters, The Hex. Cebulski described them as the Celestials turning into “Hulk Out” and then showed concept sketches for the god-like entities.
Lowe showed Schiti’s artwork from issue #2. It featured six characters that appeared normal, and the banner “You Are All Important.” Cebulski stated, “These people are right outside of your window.” Kieron, I and others decided to introduce PoV characters. We’ll be introducing these characters as important. “
Lowe talked about some of the upcoming tie-ins and one-shots. These include X Men Red #5 by Al Ewing, Stefano Caselli and Death To the Mutants 1 by Gillen, Guiu Vilanova. Shan said that the Eternals must elect Druig as their leader. This leads to Shan’s idea to destroy all mutants. “
“Druig “Is the funniest villain,” Lowe said.
“Prove Your Worth” will be a motto that Lowe stated is soon to become a common theme in the series.
ImmortalX-Men #5-7, Brooks said, will tie in with the event and spotlight Nightcrawler, Sebastian Shaw and others.
Amazing Spider-Man #10 is another tie-in. A John Romita Jr. Cover features no other Gwen Stacy. Lowe stated that it looked like Peter is being judged here by Gwen. You will never guess what happens, no matter how you believe it is. “

Wolverine #25 by Benjamin Percy and various artists, was described by Cebulski as “an anniversary featuring the third generation of Kubert artists,” in particular Emma Kubert, who is among the issue’s illustrators.
Brooks also wrote Blade: Vampire Nation #1. This was drawn by Dave Wachter. Brooks stated that Blade is being summoned in by Dave Wachter to eliminate and find out a vampire conspiracy.
