Chris Hemsworth’s fourth Thor film was Thor : Love and Thunder , which hit theatres July 8. This title featured the return to director Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson playing Valkyrie and Natalie Portman portraying Jane Foster/Mighty Thor.
Similar To Natalie Portman’s role, Jaimie Alexander was called back after she failed to get the call for Thor – Ragnorak . Alexander portrays Lady Sif, an Asgardian warrior and friend of Thor. Sif was also featured in the Disney+ Disney+ Epic Loki ., last year.
The character was previously seen in Thor , and Agents from SHIELD.
A deleted scene from Thor. Love and Thunder was revealed in order to provide more context about Lady Sif’s location before the film.
Lady Sif Deleted Scene Revealed
Artist Jeremy Love released the never-before seen concept art for Lady Sif from Thor. Love and Thunder . This art depicts the usage of the Volume in an image that has never been filmed, or was cut during post production.
The following scene seems to have taken place prior her arrival at Thor. Love and Thunder , Exploring Falligar, the Behemoth’s cave and shrine.
The first piece of concept artwork shows Lady Sif standing in front of the Falligarian shrine within an ice cave.
Next up, a large shot of Lady Sif as she enters the ice cave.
The following concept art depicts Lady Sif holding her sword as she enters the ice cave.
The next image shows Lady Sif from a different angle in front the Falligarian shrine.
The final work of art depicts Lady Sif gazing out at Falligar, the Behemoth.
Lady Sif Ignored
She was part of a brief, but insignificant love triangle in Thor The Dark World , Lady Sif didn’t play a significant role in any Thor movies. It would make sense for Lady Sif to play a larger role in the franchise as an elegant warrior. But she has often been left out.
She survived the death of Hela, unlike the Warriors Three. Thor . Instead, Odin banished her and she didn’t appear on the screen again until an appeal for assistance in Love and Thunder .. It was nice to be able to watch a longtime Thor fan see an Asgardian resident back on the big screen. However, this time she wasn’t given much.
She is not fighting alongside Thor, Mighty Thor or Valyariye and viewers only see her after an action (missing an arm). She’s now back in New Asgard, helping to train young Asgardians after she was forgotten about all the movie.
Besides her recurring role as an agent in Agents for SHIELD , Alexander, Lady Sif is often an afterthought within the larger MCU. It would have been fascinating to watch a scene similar to the one above, and it would give Lady Sif more depth for her fans.
Thor – Love and Thunder are now showing in cinemas around the world.
