Rumored Daredevil Actress Responds to Backlash
In response to the rumors and backlash that Eiza Gonzalez has been solid as Elektra for Marvel Studios’ Daredevil reboot, the actress posted the next message on Twitter, denying rumors that she has joined the MCU:
“I really feel like I am simply gonna get it out of the best way as a result of, One I am confused as for the quantity of hate over this and two I really feel prefer it saves folks vitality. Sure, I’m not being solid as Elektra for Daredevil. I have already got a sequence unique contract with 3 Physique Downside. Ur welcome”
The unique rumor stems from a Reddit submit suggesting that Gonzalez can be introduced because the Daredevil murderer Elektra throughout the 2022 San Diego Comedian-Con.
The backlash was brought on by each Gonzalez’s performing skills and her portrayal of a Greek position as a Latina actor.
In a further Tweet, the actress expressed that she desires to dwell “freed from destructive ill-intended messages,” particularly since she’s unaware of the position:
“Id admire if I might dwell freed from destructive ailing supposed messages about me taking part in/stealing? Thanks for taking part in a component in my life that I did not know existed. Thanks and wishing you all the most effective”
Lastly, Gonzalez shared that she is going to proceed “watching Daredevil and sending that solid all of the love:”
“Hopefully I am going to get to play a cool superhero at one level of my profession and it is going to be tons of enjoyable and I would be honored to be even thought-about. In the meantime, I will be watching Daredevil and sending that solid all of the love”
Whereas Marvel Studios has but to verify Elektra’s involvement in Daredevil: Born Once more, the final actress to have performed Elektra Natchios – and alongside Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock – was Elodie Yung.
