Marvel Studios is launching
Animation as a completely new area. The first effort was the What if …? last year. , looking at alternate timelines in which events from the MCU took place differently. T’Challa was cast as Star-Lord, and Peggy Carter as Captain Carter. Two other animated projects have been announced since then: the Marvel Zombies , and the second, which stars everyone’s favourite webhead, in Spider-Man, Freshman Year ..
First announced in November 2021, all that was confirmed was how the Disney+ series would “[follow] Peter Parker on his way to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU. “ A synopsis of the series also stated that it would be ” a unique journey and [in] an aesthetic that honors Peter Parker’s comic-book roots. “
Since then, there has not been any further information. Thankfully, that looks like it’s going to change, starting with Marvel’s big animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 22.
First View at Spider-Man’s New Show Incoming

In a Twitter, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt from Marvel Studios announced that they will be showing the first glimpse of the Marvel Studios Animation Panel at Comic-Con San Diego. This will take place on Friday, July 22, at 11: 45 am PT, and she teased that there would be more “[Spider-Man] goodness [and] surprises. “
Jeff Trammell is an Executive Producer of Spider-Man Freshman Year ,. He also confirmed via a tweet that he will be speaking about the series. See you soon #SDCC2022 to share a bit of info about [Spider-Man: Freshman Year]. “
What to Expect From Freshman Year
The biggest question that viewers have about Spiderman Freshman Year is, “Who will the webhead be facing off against?” It could be Hammerhead or a lower-level threat like Vermin. Screwball could make a great choice, as he was the online person who took on Spidey in Insomniac’s recent PS4 video game.
It seems that there will be a reveal of a villain at the SDCC Marvel Studios Animation Panel. The panels will show clips of the various styles the projects will take place in. Perhaps they will announce the voice actor for Spider-Man since Tom Holland will not be there.
This Spidey show is exciting, but it won’t be the only one from the MCU panels. The crew behind X-Men ’97 will finally show off what they’ve been working on, What If…? ”s second season will be shown, with fans expected to learn more about Marvel Zombies .. We may be surprised. They might surprise the whole world by announcing new projects.
What If…? , X-Men – The Animated Series is available streaming at Disney+.
