Marvel Entertainment unveiled their SDCC booth. They will soon be showing off its Hall H presentation and offering updates on MCU project developments.
San Diego Comic-Con 2022 has kickstarted. Fans should be looking out for the Marvel Studios panels and their signature Hall H presentation this year. The last big presentation from Marvel came at the 2019 SDCC when Kevin Feige unveiled the extensive slate of MCU Phase Four productions along with introducing the cast to the world. Though speculations suggest that Marvel is saving the best MCU revelations for the D23 Expo 2022 that will be held in September, there might also be some updates at the SDCC. It wouldn’t be possible to speak at Hall H .
Now, spicing up the hype, the official Twitter handle of Disney+ has replied to a Marvel Entertainment post in the most teasing manner. Marvel Entertainment posted the story about its SDCC booth opening on Twitter. Disney+ responded ,
We’re ready to Marvel at all the #SDCC surprises! #DisneyPlusSDCC
Disney+ used ‘Marvel’ as a sign in response, capitalizing the word with a hashtag referring to Disney Plus’s role at SDCC. This may hint at the Marvel Studios’ Disney+ project updates that they will offer at SDCC. Marvel’s Hall H presentations in the past have been filled with crazy announcements, which took media attention. This tease suggests that we may soon be receiving updates on the Disney+ originals.
What Could We Expect from Disney+ at Marvel’s Presentation
One must suddenly get their hopes high as the major reveals would be saved for the D23 Expo. However, some projects from the MCU’s Disney+ Originals slate can be showcased at the panel.
One of them could be I Am Groot, a series of shorts featuring the character of Baby Groot taking center stage. Another project that Marvel might leave a hint about could be Echo, starring Maya Lopez. Marvel previously shared the initial look for the show. It is currently in fast-tracking production. Marvel’s next animation ventures are two that Disney+ fans will be excited to see.
Marvel Studios last year announced two animated projects under work at Disney+ – Marvel’s Zombies and Spider-Man: Freshman Year. Zombies will be an expansion of the What If…? episode of the same name. On the other hand, Freshman Year would act as a prequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and will feature Peter Parker’s journey of becoming the web-crawling-friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The character was already six months into the superhero community when he first debuted in Civil War.
Several other Disney+ originals set in the MCU have been announced. Still, Marvel would probably wait for the D23 Expo to disclose details about Ironheart, Armor Wars, etc. There is also a slight possibility of getting some updates about the Untitled Halloween Special that is to be directed by Michael Giacchino.
As Marvel’s project titles continue to grow in numbers, even a Hall H presentation could be enough for the studio to reveal everything. This Twitter tease could be meaningful, however.
