Murderworld: Spider-Man #1 is written by Jim Zub and Ray Fawkes and features art by Farid Karami. In a CBR exclusive preview, the group of characters who managed to survive 2022’s Murderworld: Avengers #1 (by Zubb, Fawkes, Jethro Morales, Matt Milla and VC’s Cory Petit) are continuing to make their way through the deadly traps created by Arcade, the evil mastermind responsible for his victims’ misfortune. While trying to make their way out of Murderworld, the part comes across evil, likely robotic versions of Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Jessica Drew, Scarlet Spider, Future Foundation Spider-Man, Iron Spider, Superior Spider-Man, Ghost Spider and Spider-Man in his black suit symbiote costume.

Marvel Takes Readers to Murderworld
Announced in August 2022, Marvel’s Murderworld is a new five-part series that follows a young filmmaker, Paul Pastor, who receives an offer from Arcade to come make a documentary about his next contest. Paul arrives in Murderworld only to find he’s now part of a “game” alongside 199 other contestants. There can only be one winner who will receive a hundred million dollars; however, losing Arcade’s game actually means being killed by one of his traps.
Murderworld: Spider-Man is the second part of the series following Murderworld: Avengers. Murderworld: Wolverine #1 by Zub, Fawkes and Carlos Nieto will follow on Jan. 25, 2023. The synopsis for the issue reads, “Wolverine is “the best he is at what he does,” and what he does is hunt victims in Murderworld! Our contestants are about to feel the SNIKT! Will anyone survive Arcade’s deadliest game? Arcade and his schemes have been a punchline in the past, but this game is no joke.
